Celine Dion is returning to Las Vegas in March, and if early sales are any indication her show will be just as popular as when she left three years ago. Robin Leach is reporting that $10 million dollars in tickets have already been sold for the new Caesars Palace show.
Celine did a long residency in Las Vegas from 2003-2007 performing about 200 shows a year at the Colosseum at Caesars, an arena that was designed specifically for her show. Almost all of the shows sold out despite the fact that tickets averaged $135. This time around Celine will only be doing 70 dates a year, so I would guess ticket sales will remain strong.
The previous show incorporated some acrobatics and other effects. It's unclear whether the new show will have that stuff. I'm guessing it will be a scaled back production, despite the $55-$250 ticket pries.
